Almanac has no scoreboard and box scores

I did a search on the Forum and could not find any threads that deal with my problem.

I have run a 10-year and 15-year test league to try to learn how to use the Almanac.

I am setting up my first real league using V2007 and want to make sure the Almanac is working properly.

So far, it hasn't.

I especially want to keep game scores (League Scoreboard) and box scores.

In addition I want batting, pitching, and fielding stats.

I get the league scoreboard, but can't access the box scores. I get a message that it can't access the file.

I have a very few times accessed the box scores.

The other reports are fine.

I created a fictional league using the Wizard to set it up. Just one league with two subleagues with 8 teams each, no minors.

I ran a performance test on my computer and found that I am using 750 MB of RAM after 15 years.

I have 512 MB of RAM.

Could this be the reason I am having the Almanac troubles?

I am not very computer literate.

Would this just slow the processing or could it foul up the processing?

I have a Dell 3000...two and a half years old...with a brand new hard drive.

Here are the computer specs:

Intel (R)
Pentium (R) 4CPU
2.80 GHz
2.79 GHz, 512 MB of RAM

Someone very knowledgeable about the game said that the Almanac is flawed as doesn't work very well. He gave up on it and just uses it to save the box scores.

Unless you in Tech Support can help solve my problem, I will just try to save the box scores and use the Game History, which seems to work well.

Still would like to hear from Tech Support.

Is the Almanac severely flawed?

McKnight posted in my Discussions Forum thread and said he has run 12 seasons with no Almanac problems.

He said he would send me his Almanac settings.

I will run another test league at that time.

Has anyone else had major problems with the Almanac?

After a long week of three multi-year test leagues, I finally got it in a mode to create the box scores
and allow me to see them.

I think I have found the reason I couldn't get box scores.

I went into the Almanac profile and selected "complete almanac" and now get the box scores.

I am not sure, but it seems "complete almanac" is not the default setting.

My game was set to "online league reports". Apparently you can't save the box scores in this mode.

The next time I create a league, I will check to see what the default setting is.

Now at long last, I can create my ultimate baseball league.

Yes, I think I have found the problem and it was me, not the game.
