Cap template problem

I know I should know the answer because I've done this numerous times, but I've taken too long off from making anything.

I'm using PS 7 to save the work. When I save a customized cap in .png format, RGB, 150x150, it shows up in the cap texture preview just fine, but in the player photo, the cap looks like I put a board on a spinner and dropped paint onto it.

To make matters worse, I can get the program to crash when I try to open the uni page of any team where I placed one of these "spinner" textures (it's a demo league I created for this purpose, so I'm not upset. I'll delete it once I get the cap right).

It also did the same thing with the dolphin and bulldog logos that come with the game

I posted this earlier in the mod forums, but had no takers.

Attached is the working copy.

Any progress on this one, Groundblizzard? I personally don't really know much about logos and uniform customization.

Not one.

I've tried different modifications such as copying the into a new .psd and aligning over the template that comes with the 'o7 (&'08) but it doesn't work. Only if I draw the wings in PS can I get it to work - and the reason I use Corel is because it's easier and more accurate with vector drawings.

If anyone else can duplicate the problem and\or solve it, I'd be really grateful.

I, actually, don't mess around with the cap template, I just make a cap logo and give out the RGB numbers....so I'm the perfect guy to try and help you.

Some things that stand out and wondering....

The cap template is saved at 512x512, not 150x150.

Your cap template doesn't look like the ones Knuckler posted yesterday. Logos for start-up fictional league It looks like the two cap parts on the bottom left side are combined on yours. Wonder if that is part of the problem.

**edit**

Oh wait....you actually did get it work.

No, that's the problem, I couldn't get it to work when I imported the wings drawn in Corel into the template document. The size of the template doesn't seem to be the key - but I'll check again. I thought I had played with that, but I'll double check. Hopefully that's all it is - it'd be reminiscent of finding out that something doesn't work only because it wasn't plugged in.

The parts touching don't seem to cause a problem except when I do the import. I "re-did" the template with some bleed so that I didn't get the ugly black seam between cap sections.

Normally I do exactly what you do, but with the wings, I couldn't get away with that.

Your template is sized at 302x302 pixcels, and the cap template needs to be 512x512 pixcels saved in png format as attached.

Thanks!

I've been able to get away with the odd-sized logo pics because the program resizes. I didn't realize the hat (and I'm assuming the jersey templates, too) have to be in the 512x512 format.

Off to fine tune the design!
