Runtime Error

I just bought the game and when i tried opening it, it says theres a runtime error, then has the ootp file and then an error. this is the second time i downloaded the game. the first time it got to the menu and when i tried to start any kind of game i got the exact same error message. help?

Can you please list your operating system, processor speed, RAM, hard drive space (free and total) for us?

Did you try to patch the game before running it?

Does the error mention any information or any indication as to why the game is crashing?

i honestly have no idae what my operating system is, i figured this was just a quick create-a-file type of problem. I actually fixed it enough that i can get to where i load my game. at about 50 percent of loading my online league it has the same runtime error.

now the problem is at the point where i can restart my computer and load a game once and it will work but if i X out and try to run another one later it will give me the runtime error. i also sometimes get the runtime error at random times during gameplay. this is really frustrating

Sir, I'm trying trying to help you, but you have to try to answer some of my questions in order for me to do so.

Have you updated your copy of OOTPB 2007 with the latest patch? It is found here:

Without some basic knowledge of your computer, I'm not certain that you meet the minimum requirements to run this game. Do you know whether you are using a Windows operating system or whether you own a Mac? If Windows, can you try going to your Start Menu, then Settings, then Control Panel, then System? That should tell you what operating system you are using.
