error: user data folder not found

I have uninstalled and reinstalled and am receiving
the message user data folder notr found ????
game wont start it tells me to reinstall and i do
but still the same message

You stated that you were using Vista in another post.

Did you move your default data directory without moving your data there? If so, does the following link solve your problem?

How to change where OOTP stores user data (saved games, etc.)
