Report Generation in Online Leagues

In one of my leagues, another owner and I are sharing sim duties. Right now, we are both crashing on report generation. Dont know where the error could be.

Any ideas as to what might cause this?

Hey all, I'm the other owner simming in the league. I've done a little digging and checked my error reports sent to Microsoft, and the common thing I see is that the faulting module is called "ntdll.dll". Is this a registry entry of some kind?

Also, my game used to just crash when going into the history reports, but now crashes in the player report section on player report #220. I've checked the player.DAT file, but don't really know what I'm looking at, however, there are two players there with the number 220 after their names. Could there be some sort of problem with players linked to the same player number (their online html reports show different player numbers, so I'm guessing this isn't the case).

I did some digging into what the error reports I sent to MS said, and the common faulting module in my crashes in "ntdll.dll. Is this a registry entry?

Also, my game used to crash just when generating the history reports for the league, now it crashes during the player reports at player reports #220. I checked the player.DAT file, and really don't know what I'm looking at, but a search for the number "220" came up with two different players with that number after their name. I don't know if that's an issue or not. Their html player numbers online are both different.

There seems to be some kind of compatibility problem, but neither Phil nor I have found it, and it's only been coming up over the past few weeks or so.

Which version of the game are you using? What part of the season/year are you in?

How long in-game have you been playing this league? Have you done any unusual editing of your saved game or leagues within your saved game recently?

Final patch of OOTP 2007. We both just got OOTP 8 and have patched it with the latest available patch as well. We are currently going into the last week of April in our 21st season. The league hasn't been edited or changed since it's beginning...regular 30-team ML setup with fictional players.

I'm not sure what to tell you, guys. If you want to hunt me down on AIM, my handle is the same there as here. If you send me a copy of your .dat files and a commish password, I can try simming a bit myself in hopes of reproducing the issue (or not) and learning more.

An update: i found a player that is listed on our hitting leaderboards in game(on almost all of them) with outrageous numbers, and when clicking his link, the game crashed. I looked in the player.dat and retired.dat files and didn't find him. I got to messing around with the game and tried deleting him from the league, which did the trick as far as generating the reports, except I'm still crashing on the history reports. I told Phil and he did the same thing, but he said he still crashed during the reports being generated, and when I loaded the new file, the player was back in the file! So the cause may have been found, just not the solution...yet.

Final (hopefully) update:

I ran a sim tonight (Tuesday) after making sure the player had been deleted. All of the reports ran fine, including the history reports! So, Phil will do a sim on Sunday, and we'll see if everything will work out for him as well. Thanks for listening (or reading).
