trouble loading a historical league

I just purchased ootp8 and im trying to start from 1901. Ive downloaded lahman but when i go into the league startup if i try any year before 1977 the game stops responding and closes. Any ideas??

This was a bug that was previously reported and a fix was released today. Please upgrade to version 8.0.0.13 and let us know if your problem is solved:

Again: OOTP 8 patch released! New version # is 8.0.0.13

having this same problem. Checked the link and it says I need to redownload the whole installation file if I want to use major league files or can I just install the patch? Still on 8.0.0.12. When I hit "check for updates" it says I am up to date but I think I need 8.0.0.13.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Just to be safe, do a full re-install of version 8.0.0.13.

I just did an overwrite of the ootp8.exe to get this to work. I think the Lahman database is the same in both full versions so it was a bug in the program.
