Weird financial editor bug
If you edit the "Media Contract" but not the "Media Revenue This Year", then go to the Front Office Screen, the media contract does not update.
If you then go back to the the edit page, the Media Revenue This Year has updated automatically -- as I assume it should. However, this automatic update does not work. But if you then manually type in the "Media Revenue This Year" then the game actually updates the media contract amount.

So long as the media revenue amount isn't set to be the same for all teams (but instead, based on market size) whatever amount you put in, ought to work. But conversely, if you set the media contract for whatever, the media revenue this year won't work until the following season, so you usually need to change them both, if you want it to be the same immediately.

I don't think I was clear.
The bug is that it isn't working properly. ![]() ![]() This situation was caused by: 1) editing "Media Contract" 2) going back to the financial page 3) going back to the editing page, where "Media Revenue This Year" appeared to have automatically updated, but in fact had not I am aware that those in the know could avoid this situation, but it is generally considered a bug if a user can break it through any normal action, and that is the case, I think.

Sorry for the delay in answering this problem.
What version of OOTP was this with? With 8.0.0.13 it certainly works ok, and updates the Front Office screen if you edit the media contract on the edit financials page. |
