Deleting leagues

Is there a more 'effective' way to delete leagues, rather than the Saved_Games-----> Delete ------> Trash Bin method?

It's almost impossible for me to delete some leagues, and I know it isn't my computer in any way.

Thanks.

What do you mean impossible to delete? What is it doing that makes it impossible?

Do you mean that it takes too long to delete the saved games in-game? Yeah, you don't want to do it that way.

Assuming that you are using OOTP8, go to Documents and Settings\(user name)\My Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 8\data\saved_games

Within that directory, you'll find .lg files with the saved game names. Just delete them from there. (Note that if you opened the deleted league last within OOTP, the game might create a new dummy folder that you'll have to delete again when you next open the game.)

If you are deleting them out of game, then I would assume that it is taking long because you have a lot of files to delete.

I'm thinking what he means is that league folders are actually replaced after being deleted outside the game. I've noticed this as well. If I create a new league called "New Game" and subsequently delete the folder, I notice the folder reappears twice: once when I next load any league and again when I next exit the game.

Hyltzn, if this is what you're talking about then the good news is the league will stay deleted after it reappears a couple of times. I've just learned to plan for it and quickly do a load-delete-exit-delete chain any time I want to get rid of an unused league.
