Game crashes when saving
I've been playing OOTP 8 (version 8.0.0.10) that I bought a couple of months ago. Two times the games have crashed when saving and when I try to open the save file the game stops working.
The last savefile stops at 87%...  Since I've manually played more than half a season I have two questions: 1. Is it possible to fix the savefile so I can open it? 2. What can I do to not get this problem in the future? |

It's always safest to use the latest patch, so I'd upgrade to version 8.0.0.13:
Again: OOTP 8 patch released! New version # is 8.0.0.13 I'm not sure if you can reopen the saved games and I'm not sure how to avoid it happening again because I'm not sure why the saved games aren't loading at this point. In your .lg folders that hold your saved games, are any of the .dat files empty? Possibly faces.dat in particular? You'll find your .lg folders in the directory: C:\Documents and Settings\(user name)\My Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 8\data\saved_games
