OOTP 8 Mac license problem, can't play offline!

So I've been playing a season that I started in OOTP 2007 and am finishing up in OOTP 8. Normally, I've got my wireless Internet connection on and am always online. Well, my Internet's down now and I can't get the game started. When I try to load the game, I get a pop-up window that says "This feature requires you to have access to the Internet. If you have a dial-up connection to the Internet, make sure it is active and click the "Continue" button below." Then it lists a little bit of information about a proxy server. It seems that it's trying to check my license, but I've already registered! I didn't think that one would need to be online whenever they play OOTP. Am I screwed here, or is there a way to enter my license so that it saves the info rather than checking online all the time?

With the Mac on 8 you have to be online everytime you play the game, they are hoping to fix that for 9 but it is something with the way they set up the licence that requires it to be checked everytime you play.

Now that is weak. I hope that gets fixed ASAP.
