Using two computers

Hei!

So far I only played OOTP on my desktop -> no problem

But now I finally decided to buy a laptop as second computer when being on business trips etc. Of course I'd like to play OOTP also on the new machine once in a while. But how to do it?

Of course I need to install OOTP on the laptop.
But what then?
Which files of my saved games I need to copy there as well? Which folder(s) to use?
How about "player pictures"? (I downloaded quite a number of rookie players from last season etc.)

Thankful over all help, as I'm far away from being a computer insider

Andreas

I believe all you will need to do is take a copy of the .lg folder for your saved game. That's all I ever do to move games between machines.

I'm not entirely sure about faces, but I believe that they are stored in the news\html\images directory under the .lg so they should copy across ok.

Loeffle,

Could you post back in here when you've tried it. I don't want to move this to Closed just yet in case there is something I've missed.

And today its even worse. Cant enter OOTP 2007 at all. Says "cant locate user data folder". Maybe related to Vista?

Are you running it as Administrator under Vista?

Have you been able to figure this out? I am having the exact same problem trying to install OOTP on my laptop with Vista.

Edited to add: Never mind. I should have read more of the board before posting. I wasn't opening the file as an Administrator.

Not sure how this panned out, but since it's been so long without a reply, it will be closed for housekeeping reasons. Issues with the user data folder can be addressed using the tips in the following link:
