Crash when creating Historical League
Version: 8.0.0.13
PC/Mac: PC What was I doing? Trying to create historical league. What happened? When trying to import players from 1974, when I click "next" on step 1 of the Creation Wizard, I get a Runtime Error. Reproducible? Yes. I'm using Windows XP. I thought since I had a 2004 version of Lahman's database, maybe that was the problem. I downloaded the newest version, and it still gave me the Runtime error. I've had 4 or 5 different versions OOTP, and never had an issue...so I'm kind of stumped with this one. Any help would be great. Thanks... Jeff |

The one that comes with the game (and has worked on every year I've tried to start it with) is in My Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 8\data\stats |

When I used my own Lahman database, I get the runtime error immediately.
When I used the one in the game, it actually loaded 12% of the database, THEN I got the runtime error. I reporduced that problem three different times. |

OK. Every time I try to import a complete history, from any year, I get a runtime error.
So I tried starting seasons WITHOUT the complete history. I tried a few random years. Anything before 1950 seemed to work. 1970, 1974, 1977 ALL gave me runtime errors. Since I'd like to be able to import the complete history, this is bumming me out. I'm at a loss. |

In another thread, user reported that he has only 384 MB of RAM running XP on a Pentium 3 processor. This is a system limitation problem - his computer can't handle the amount of history that it is trying to process.
