Moving a Save League from one PC to another.

Forgive me guys if this has been discussed. On my old machine I have a OOTP 2007 League... I installed OOTP 2008 on my new Notebook... I would like to be able to move this entire league over to my Notebook so that I can continue it. However, I am still having issues... Here's what I've tried so far:

Copied the Saved League... It times out
Zipped the Saved League... It asks for passwords around 80% into the extraction of the file (i.e. 2005_team roster_transactions) or something of that nature.

By the way, my old machine is XP Pro... my new one is Vista... could that be the issue?

Am I going about this all wrong? Anyway help or links to other discussions would be appreciated!...

Thanks

Just how large is your saved league folder? Maybe try copying it in smaller portions and transferring it over?

I can give that a shot... I know that would probably take care of the "timing out" issue... however if I get to those specific files that require a password... I will still have the same problem. However... it's worth a try! Thanks.

If you can figure out what files need a password, maybe you don't really need them. The only files that you absolutely need to run the league are the .dat files in the root .lg directory.

Let us know how it turns out.
