Commish Password
I had seen several threads about this, but no definitive solution. As commish and a manager, I have both a team manager password and a commish password. If I login with my manager password I am in commish mode. If I go to change my commish password to something other than my manager password. i have a big problem. It asks for the old password. I type in what I think it is and the box just disappears and never gives me the option to change it.
After an attempt to change the password it now asks me for a commish password to do anything related. I type it in and it says wrong password. I have tried most of the passwords I would have used and even tried leaving it blank to no avail. The funny part is, if I exit the game and re-enter the game with my manager password. I go right back into commish mode. How do I decouple the manager password from the commish password. |

No idea. I just made my Commish and Manager password the same thing and only ever log in as my Manager. I get all the powers of Commish, so why bother logging in otherwise?

Because the former commish wanted to take a look at some of the settings inside the game. Rather than hand out my manager password to him since he is also a fellow manager, I'd just as soon give him the commish password which he used to know anyway.

Unless he is your asst commish or co-commish, I'd question why. Especially if I was a manager in that league.

He is going to have to run some of the simulations when I am unavailable. I'd much rather not give him full access to my team in the process (nor should I have to since there are supposed to be two separate passwords I can set).

Correct me if I'm wrong, but commishes have full control over every team, regardless. If you don't trust the guy, you might want to re-think giving him access to any passwords. I mean, I understand your frustration over the coupled passwords, but I don't think that it would really solve your root issue.

The whole point of the post was that there was a feature in the game that is not working like it is supposed to for me. Does anyone have any suggestions or possible solutions dealing directly with that? I am just trying to figure out why its buggered up in the first place.

Problem resolved. I got up with the previous commish and found out what he used back in OOTP 6.5 as the commish password. Apparently it works. So it kept a hold of it from 6.5 to 2007 and now to OOTP 8 without changing it or resetting it.
