Game Freezing during draft....

Hello,

I'm currently on my 6th season and when trying to do the first year player draft, it freezes about midway through when trying to auto finish. I had to end the game process to get it to shutdown, and when i reloaded, it froze during the draft again, and has continued to do so every time i try. Any idea how to fix this?

A few other things, it almost always freezes at about 11% or in the 8th/9th round.

Also, the game normally runs at about 250k + memory usage , when it freezes up, it drops down to about 5k.

Hmm... I decided to look at the draft log this time before starting the draft and the first 10 rounds apparently have already been drafted several times. The first 10 rounds have been drafted 5 times , so it appears to be saving who gets drafted after i emergency stop the program.

The logs are likely being written, even if the picks themselves aren't being saved.

Which version of the game are you using, please? Could you try auto-drafting round by round to see if that makes a difference?

Im using the most up to date version of OOTP8. I've tried auto drafting the complete draft, i've tried auto drafting each round individually, i've tried doing the whole draft manually, but it ALWAYS freezes during the 10th round.

Anyways, I created a backup, started a new league, loaded up the backup and the draft went through on the recreated league. Unfortunately I lost my player histories.

A backup worked, huh? Well, that's interesting. All you need to do is copy the messages and news folders into your backup's .lg folder and you should have your player histories and everything else.

Do you want to persue troubleshooting the draft, or are you moving forward with the backup?
