Manager Switching Teams

I am using OOTP 8 with the latest patch. Every week or so my manager changes teams the the Milwaukee Brewers according to my manager's personal page. His picture changes to the Brewers, but he stays my manager on my teams personnel page. However he does not actually become the Brewers manager on that teams personnel page. My manager continues to accumulate wins and losses for my team in his history page. I also have problems with managers from all over my universe mysteriously switching to NCAA baseball teams. Several seasons ago I did have a college baseball feeder league, but not any longer.

Are you playing in commish mode?

What version was this saved game created in? Do you recall what version you were using when you deleted the feeder league?

Yes, I occasionally play in commish mode. This game was created in the original OOTP 2007 version soon after release. I do not recall what version the feeder league was removed, but that would have been roughly a 9-10 months ago, so whatever version was current then.

Well, I simmed through to the end of the season and didn't see any instances of what you described. Is it possible that you accidentally hit the Act As dropdown menu in the upper right hand corner of the screen to play as Milwaukee? That would result in the same behavior as you described.

Having deleted leagues in earlier versions might have caused some minor problems. Presumably, those old NCAA teams didn't quite get deleted even though their leagues did. I don't think that there's much that I can do about that at this stage.

If you can simply Act As your own team again to undo the major issue, do you have an issue with continuing the game as is? I'm not sure what else to offer.

The *dat file I uploaded should have included the issue. If you click on the Angels manager, Brooks Quinn, you will see that he is identified as being a member of the Brewers.

What I have been doing is transferring my AAA manager to the majors, thereby swapping managers. The manager, Brooks Quinn, will move to the AAA squad. I swap again and that brings Quinn back to the Angles for about 3 or 4 games before he suddenly is listed as a Brewer again.

Ah, I see. I thought that you were referring to your GM profile.

Yeah, something definitely got messed up in this league. Click on the link to the Milwaukee Brewers in Quinn Brooks' Profile screen. It takes you to a team without any players, yet with some personnel still hired. Brooks is their team doctor, apparently. I can't find a way to fire a coach from a team without actually being the GM for that team, and I can't become the GM for the imaginary version of the Brewers.

Either something happened when you deleted leagues using an older version of the game, or the roster maker ran into a similar problem.
