I too, am unhappy.

I play version 8.0.0.13. It's not the money it is just that I can't play the game. My problem is crashes with the message that the game has encountered a problem and must close. This always eventually happens in my leagues be it at 3 seasons, 1 season or 1/2 season. I have never had a league go past 3 seasons I believe. Once I get this message the league is done. I also have reinstalled the game numerous times but always end up having to deleat that league and start a new one. Most recently (this morning) I didn't even get to spring training and was trying to make a trade after the inaugural draft. Many times it has occured when I try to click on one of the HTML reports. Perhaps I should totally uninstall everything and reinstall using my OOTP8 license that I still have. I take any tips on how to be sure that everything is in fact off my hard drive. It is almost like getting rid of a virus.
I don't want to sound critical but...IMHO OOTP has been extremely fragile since version 6.5. Never had these problems until I bought 2007. I went to OOTP8 because it was a good price and I was hoping this had been fixed. I have preordered OOTP9 but I got to tell you, I am not optimistic.

You can help us help you by giving details on your set up; RAM HD size and space free, operating system and so on.

Do you run an AV?
Have you defragmented your HD recently? A big source of potential crashes IMO.

Type of league?
Size of league?
Source of league? ie quickstart, download from mod site, made from scratch...

There are multiple locations for OOTP folders to delete, including My Documents and Documents and Settings/"your user name"/application data and so on.

If you are up to it, I'd suggest

Delete every trace of an OOTP folder. Do a search to confirm.
Defragment your HDD
Check for any weird memory resident software you may not even know is running.
Re-install OOTP
Use a known quickstart or other league that has no history of crashes. There are several sites where these are available.

I hope this is helpful. Others may be able to give specific details.

Not to minimize your real problem. This version is remarkably robust in my experience. We have to find the glitch in your box.

Are these all MLB Quickstart leagues? If so, then the crashes related to the HTML reports is unfortunately a known issue. You shouldn't have the issue with other types of leagues. Could you test to see if that is the case?
