I will say it right now, this may be the best baseball game I have EVER played(and this is only about 2-3 months into the beta), and I've played a lot of them...
Markus has done an absolutely tremendous job of tackling some of the big issues we have presented him with... Not perfect, but lightyears ahead of 2006

I really feel that Markus went into 2007 wanting to make it the game he wanted to make with 2006. I don't think anyone involved really knew the depth of the project to essentially rebuild OOTP with 2006. That's why I think OOTP 2006 had a kind of institutional feel to it...the nuts and bolts were there but it wasn't really something pretty you'd want to show your mom.
2007 has all of it and more. (My pet project, in-game expansion along with expansion drafts are in the mix and that makes me happy.) |
