Not era-contextual at this time.

Cap style won't change in any automated fashion, although of course if you change your team's logo, the cap will follow suit automatically.

Is that an option? Or are we forced to look at our angry players?

You can make them happy by giving them playing time. They get angry when they are on the bench, reserve roster, or feel underutilized, and some are just jerks.

I love the idea of being able to judge mood by expression. It actually makes the photos functional for something rather than simply eye candy. I do think it could make for some pretty funny "player cards" if the player got really steamed, though.

I love the sound of the whole facegen deal... BUT, do the pictures stop aging once the players have retired? I'd hate to have all my old stars looking 90 when I'm looking at the Hall of Fame or something...

Heh, that's an interesting question. I have no idea.

They should look 90 when they're 90... and it should slowly lose their color, and turn to a skeleton as they near 120 etc... we want realism!

If a guy gets drilled in the head with a pitch or breaks his nose or suffers some other face injury, will his facegen image show the appropriate bandages?

I am very interested in seeing how this player aging things looks. The month and a half wait for this game is gonna be a killer.

The time between death and being a skeleton might be a little too graphic.

Yeah, I can't quite remember if names are tied to ethnicity or to nation. If it's nation, though, it should be too difficult to change.

I could swear I have guys with different types of facial hair. I'll have to double check to be sure. I know this much, earlier builds made some players look like Amish Vulcans.

Well, there are assessories that go along with FaceGen that can put facial hair in.

I'm wondering, will any of the facegen photos be moddable?

Amish Vulcans! Woot! Raising a barn in that manner is not logical...

Yes, you can do the following:

- use a "real" photo or an edited photo. Just name the photo file like "firstname_lastname.png" and it will be used automatically. As in previous versions of OOTP.

- create your own texture for the caps of a team. There is a folder /ballcaps with an example texture. Just copy it to a file named like "caps_teamname_nickname.png" and it will be used whenever a picture of a player of this team will be generated It's just a bitmap file and can easily be edited.

- same for jerseys

- you can also just click on a button "New picture" if you don't like the picture of a player. A new picture will then be generated.

AWESOME!

I know even with the free demo, you can use photos to make your own faces and this would be completely awesome.

The door is always open. At the heart of a good game is a great community.

Is this dependent on player disposition and quality. Like, a guy that will never be anything but a bench warmer, will he be perpetually grumpy because he doesn't get to play? Will there be guys that have permasmile no matter what simply because they're worriless and fancy free?

Can we do home and away unis? Can we have blank custom unis but then have the game add the logos?
