My set of biases is that I loved 6.12 and did not buy 6.5 (it was too close to the projected release of 2006 for me to spend the money). Once I finally immersed myself in 2006 and got the hang of the interface, I really liked it. There were definitely things I missed from the old engine, but it sounds like most of them are going to be in 2007, along with a few dream features of mine that I didn't think we'd see in the game for several more years if at all.

I think I made the right choice in preordering. We'll see.

Hey! I haven't pre-ordered yet. I own 2006, but I've received no e-mail nor any discount code. Was I overlooked?

PM Marc Duffy with your Order ID for 2006 and he'll send you the discount code.

No

I have not pre ordered. My understanding is that the discount is only for those who purchased 2006. I did not. Therefore I would be paying full price no matter how I look at it.

Seeing the screen captures and playing with the 2006 demo again (I reinstalled Windows since last year, so i got a second try) has convinced me it's likely time to move on up to 2007. So I preordered today with my discount. Even if I end up hating the game, which I really can't see happening, I also think it time to reward Markus, Mark and the SI team for their dedication and hard work. Really looking forward to this release.

Is it out yet?

Is it out now?

How about now?

I told myself that "Don't do it again. This year I will wait before ordering the game considering my disappointment with 2K6. I barely played 2k6 before unistalling it forever" Then I read Markus column about the new 2K7 version and upcoming features, that lessons were learned and I couldn't get my credit card out fast enough. Not to mention the discount provided to loayal customers!

I am excited about 2K7 and can't wait for its release. Once again I am drawn into the OOTP mystique!

DIscount COupon expired just 2 Hours after email?

Received the email of the discount (2/15/07) and it returned a 'This discount coupon has expired' upon validation. ---just two hour after receiving it!
It says the offer was extended to Friday - Today is Thursday. What's up?

(10 minutes later - thus the below added as a correction)
OOOPS!
I just checked my email notice which was sent to me on 2/3/07 from OOTP and applied the code given. All went through OK. Odd that the most recent email/code failed but the older one did not.

Pre-ordered as soon as they fixed the € price.

Now just waiting to see if I'm one of the lucky ones in March. I wonder what the current odds are?
