Yes, with a special exemption for teams located in Orlando, to encourage a team to move there!

But in real life MLB teams when they Draft a Player they have to sign them to a Contract and then assign them to the Minors mainly their Short Season League team or maybe Rookie ball team and if they don't sign them by a certain date they have to reenter next years Draft so it should be that way in this game. In NHL Eastside Hockey Manager theirs a Unsign Prospects Page so their should be one in this game.
How about Players or Pichers signing one year Contracts so the don't have to go thru Arbartration?

Wouldn't you guys like to have something like the JD Drew problem where he was Drafted by the Phillies but was never signed in time so had to reenter next years Draft and the next year the Cardinals Drafted him?
For example for Team Reports page like for the Braves at Catcher Brian McCann would be on top of the list for Catchers next would be probley Brian Pena then probley Jason S. and then down the list of the rest of the Catchers in the Braves Farm System probley from Future Star to Minor Leaguer and also that page would show the Teams Top Prospects,Clutch Hitter and so on.

I kind of think I would. I'd certainly like to have to negotiate with — and pay — the players I draft. And if I can't negotiate them down to a reasonable level, why NOT lose them?
I should also have to pay AT LEAST all of the players on my secondary roster, and preferably all of the players on my minor affiliate teams. This falls (I think) under the category of another of those expenses LGO would like to add to the game to help balance finances.

This doesn't happen in real life but at the Amateur Draft I would like to see Trades made and also in the game Restricted Free-Agents?

I definately would not like to have intangible ratings, or atleast Eckstein ratings.
I would, however, like the draft signing stuff, like a deadline date. Would make drafting and signing alot more fun, IMO. |

I like the draftee signing thing, but I think it would have to be done the right way, otherwise people would just whine about it being messed up and never being able to sign potential superstars, or something along those lines. Then again, if you tie it in to the ratings like greed and loyalty ratings already in the game it could work.
As for intangibles like hustle and tenacity, leave those out. If a player overplays his stats his whole career, then he had those. Better than people trying to search for crappy players that hustle. Besides, it could always be part of current ratings . |

No, and it never will be. This sort of complexity is well above the head of 99% of the gamers. I mean, I didn't even know that rule! Rule 5, options years, waivers, 40 man rosters, DFA, draft pick compensations. That is as complex as OOTP will ever get in terms of league rules.

Thank you! For the most part I would never want to see things that involve extra work from me on a regular basis and just to try and get that 1 in 10,000 result. In a game, that just isn't fun.

At the moment NHL Eastside Hockey Manager is not going to be made anymore but doesn't meaning way down the line another company makes a game like it.
Now NHL Eastside Hockey Manager has that kind of rule and I see no problem with that in this game. All we are doing is signing are Draft Picks to a contract and assigning them usly to our Rookie Ball or Short Season team. These are already in the game Rule 5, options years, waivers, 40 man rosters, DFA and draft pick compensations isn't yet as I can see. It can way down the line for it to be include! Other Features are probley more important to add. The rule is that a person might decide to go to College rather then sign with the MLB Team that Drafted them. Draft in real life happens on 2 days so is it going to be like that? Also how about Ranked at the Drafted from 1 to let say 200?
