What are some of the best leagues in OOTP History?

I've always been wondering this question; What are some of the best Online leagues in OOTP History. I know all of you have different opinions and many of you will say "your league"...

But really what are those "special" online leagues. I could think of a few online leagues off the top of my head.

Baseball Maelstrom

Hickory Baseball League

All-Time Hardball League

Computer Baseball League

Front Office Baseball League

There are more but those are the only ones I remember off the top of my head.

Not to pat myself on the back, but:
Monty Brewster Baseball Association has been around for over 20 seasons and is super active.

Another great one but still in 6.5 is Federation of International Baseball.

All that being said there's been a ton of threads on this subject over the years. A great league is defined by its owners and what those owners desire.

Are you talking strictly "Online" Leagues?

There are litteraly 100's of very good leagues in the Dynasty forum for sure.

There sure are. Every league out there is doing something right to have existed over the years. An online leaguer just needs to find the right match of what they are looking for versus what a certain league provides.

The XBL was the original back in OOTP2(?). It only lasted a few seasons, but if I recall it was the first league to incorporate such standard features as an updated front page/website every sim, owner chosen All-stars and award winners and lots of owner activity. It spawned Baseball Maelstrom at the very least, but I'm sure there were a lot of others that were influenced by it.

All depends on a person's definition of great. 3 Leagues that I run/Co-run have been around since OOTP4 and are still going strong. Are they great leagues? I would like to think so.

World League Baseball

North American Retro Baseball League

Summer of 49' (Originally started by The Professor)

Clearly those are some good leagues, but what does everyone think makes a league so great?

Volume. The truly elite leagues have 36+ teams.
