Pre-Made Logos
Any chance in the future, the game will have a collection of original pre-made logos?
I nominate Cuss for such a task. Random logoness... Some more of his talented work. http://www.maxvisualstudios.com/portfolio.htm

Yes, I agree. Truly custom logos have a consistent design thread and his work is distinctively his. Many of my logos I have done in the last year or so were inspired by his work.

I just noticed his style would work almost perfectly too, because his alternate logos I think would fit seamlessly into the new Jersey and Hat Logos, which reminds me does someone have his OOTP work hosted somewhere.

It's a great idea as long as there is someone(s) to do it.

It's a huge job, over 1000 different nicknames will be included in the game, so you would need those over 1000 logos.
I see more feasible to create a fantasy quickstart with the logos for those teams, let's say 100 teams instead of 1000. |

Not only would 1000+ logos be needed, but they would all have to be non-copyrighted. Many of the fictional logo creators use copyrighted images for their source, and those logos would not be able to be included with a product SI/SEGA would profit from.

What you don't like the generic logos created by the game now?
hehe

I toyed with writting a photoshop script that would create a logo for each nickname contained in the game date file, but of course as everything automated, the logos would need to have the same look, just changing the name on them and the colors. Basicaly what the game does already with the initials in the circle, but using another graphic instead of the basic circle.

I'd gladly contribute my small collection... but there might be a few small copyright issues.

I would like to have this feature, but nobody would agree. Unless you take like 50 people who make 10 logos each

The issue with this is that it would require original logos. To get good quality logos that aren't violating copyright rules requires lots of work that only a few can do well.

Which is why I naturally nominated Cuss. 1000 logos is a lot to ask but its not like enough couldn't be produced for just the standard league.

FWIW, all the logos I've done (which admittedly is not a huge number) are entirely original creations.
Also, the logos need not all be particularly complex. Given that for game purposes they shouldn't include the city name but just the team nickname, that helps simply things somewhat. If you use real-world examples of simply designed logos like that of the Cubs or Giants, there could be a number of pre-made logos for OOTP that use similarly basic designs.
