Well I guess that makes sense in the 30s.

Or more recently, the temporary two year salary deflation we saw in ( I think) 2003 and 2004. Or the collusion deflation in the '80s.

Don't knock it 'till you've tried it.

I am getting more and more psyched for March 23rd every day (or maybe earlier for that pre-order version ). TRTR is such a great idea.

While it is much improved, I still have a couple minor quips with the webcast screen, though. In the batter and pitcher boxes, there's still a bit too much irrelevant information...inning 4-6 splits, etc. While neat info to look up in profiles, most in-game decisions aren't made off of those. Most are made from current season and L/R splits which are a bit too buried in there. Season stats might benefit from being placed above career ones since it's used for quick reference every AB. My eye gets lost trying to find it so often. Some small player pictures (ala MLB Gameday) would make this screen extremely nice.

In any case, just a couple of opinions...looking forward to release!

Whoa, haven't heard about this yet. Is financial inflation an option or is it the only way to play the game? Perhaps only in historic sims? One of the things I liked about OOTP was constant dollars. Conversely, Front Office Football had an inflation (and city size growth too) and things got out of hand if you played for more than about 30 or 40 years. In fact, I played out 125 seasons in FOF once and my league minimum salary got up to $35,000,000/yr and the franchise cities grew to over 350,000,000 population each. Too much coefficient. I hope that's not the case in '07.

It's historical inflation. Did you ever see or use this mod?

It bakes historical attendance, ticket prices, and the like into the game from 1871-2005.

I happened to notice the weather conditions in the new screenshot. I'm wondering, though, if they'll be displayed somewhere on the broadcast screen as well.

It's on the webcast screen but not on the broadcast screen.

I am home sick with bronchitis, so I have nothing to do but sit here and test OOTP and haunt the forum.

Life is sweet.

Is this possible to implement? L/R splits should be on the webcast screen.

So when I start my fictional league in 2006, there's no inflation factor?

still dont care much for the webcast screen, way too much info crammed onto one screen. Ah well, i usually just sim my games anyway. Hopefully the broadcast screen is as good as the ingame screen was in 6.5. So fun to play out games in 6.5

For fictional leagues, I assume we will have to do it manually just like last year.
