How's about a 2007 Mod forum? I am sure people are gonna want a specific place to discuss mods they want or are making.

Its a great idea, but I'd suggest wiating to expand the forums until release, it still seems a bit quiet here compared to previous versions.

I'd think there's a fair chance that getting people talking about mods would only help increase the traffic here. Mods are a huge huge aspect of this game.

Don't disagree with you there at all, I just think it would be best to keep all the chatter in the general forum ATM becasue that is where everyone is going, and on average it takes 2 days or more to generate a page of posts...

I'm sure the 2007 forums will expand as the release date nears, to include the Mod section - as you've suggested - the 2008 Suggestion Forums, as well as traditional sections. I expect the distinctions to be somewhat the same as we've been accustomed to seeing, with the exception of becoming more well defined and easier to navigate, all in keeping with the theme of this year's version.

And as for the chatter being light, remember there are likely 20+ voices that would have normally been consistently contributing with comment and criticism in the main forums, currently focusing those same talents in the beta forums with greater impact.

never thought about that, but you're absolutely right.

when you pull 100+ people, lots of which were chosen because of their activity levels in the forums, you are going to lose some of the momentum of the the main boards. i can tell you, the beta forums are hopping. it doesnt take anywhere near 2 days to fill up the first page.
