Is that relevant? Fall/winter league teams wouldn't be affiliates either, so maybe that would make it easier?

They'd be essentially affiliates b/c they be using the same feeder teams. IRL, an AZL team would have multiple ML teams minor league squads feeding into them.
So, you'd have this structure: AZL........ ML1.............. ML2 ...|---\----|---------.........| ...|......\... |............|\.......| ....\......\. |.............|..\.....| ......\..... ml1I..........|......ml2I ........\.... |..............\.......| ..........\.. |...............\......| ............\ |................\.....| ............ ml1II............. ml2II

Maybe there's a good reason it wouldn't work (database issues, AI not able to handle it giving the human player an advantage?). It would be nice to know that Markus had at least talked to Marc V. and the FM team about how they handle this and whether or not it would be feasible for ootp. |
