Question Can I retire and unretire players in 2007?

I was just wondering about this.

I have a work around for retiring players but not to unretire a player.

You could do it in 2006, so I don't see why they would have taken it out.

Thank You for the fast response ctorg.

You will eventually get used to me thanking people when they help me with any question no matter how mundane it is.

Speaking of a player retiring. Do all of the players announce their retirement sometime during the season or just some players?

I only ask because I know that a player's career could end suddenly and one of my workarounds for unretiring a player could be to jot down their ratings if it was a player I really wanted to unretire.

You could always do a CSV dump (or schedule once every year or month) to have the ratings of all the players in case they do retire and you want to bring them back. You will then have their complete ratings.

Thank you for the response Markus.

As we all know Markus is the man.

I guess it would kind of clutter up the "inbox" if every player announced their retirement during the season.

Thank you Comedian I sort of know what a csv dump is but how would I actually do one?

I would only unretire a player every once in great while maybe once every eight or nine seasons I simmed.

It would be sort of like having Sandy Koufax hanging on for a few more years.

Would changing a player's age make them retire faster?
