Some people view their hobbies that way. Others view them dead seriously. There isn't any right or wrong to it, it's just a point of view thing. But if you take your gaming seriously like I do, threads like this one make your hair stand up and set your teeth on edge.

True enough.

I'd bet money that you are not alone in that.

Yea well it only took a small bribe, the promise to play nice with others, no more cursing, and to make mods and be productive

Can FaceGen make a player's head and feet grow bigger as he gets older?

And I would just like to apologise to The Wolf for ruining his enjoyable gaming experience by forcing him to keep coming back to the thread that makes him die a little inside.

Gaming is just one hobby that is important to me due to my health and I play the games I enjoy the most. Would I like to create a women's league in OOTP? Yes, I would, but I can wait a few years while other things are implemented, changed and fixed. I would also like to have automatic promotion/relegation leagues, teams in the same league coming from multiple countries, a World Cup, 2D engine and a hundred other "silly" things. I know I am not alone on any of those (well, maybe the wimmin, but that's how I like it )

Silly is a GOOD thing in all walks of life. Some people go to a sporting event and enjoy themselves immensely without knowing a single thing about stats, or who has done what and when. Are they silly because they didn't take it as "seriously" as other people?

Really though, for 2007, I just want everyone to love the game and keep OOTP, and the community, growing and improving, for a long time to come.

I couldn't disagree with you more. Humor, laughter, and comedy are all good things, but silliness is almost always a bad one

And I in turn, couldn't disagree with you more. My fiance and I are always silly with each other. It's one of the most enjoyable parts of our relationship.

To each his own. If a girl gets silly, I dump her.

If I weren't engaged, I'd ask you to send them my way.

You're not alone at all; at least I and the thread starter are also interested in doing women's leagues, and there are probably more of us. This is what I EXPECTED this thread to be about. Of course (unfortunately), any such league would have to be fictional. How would you like to go about it? I was planning on starting with an eight team Rookie league. The second year I'd add a Short A league, then affiliate the Rookie teams with them. The next year add a Low A, then High A, and end the sequence with maybe a four team Double A league.

If I set this in my fictional ML-with-full-minors universe, I thought I could create a AA all star team to play against the boys AAA champion.

But really all I want to do is play.

So I'll try harder to be patient and hopefully the board will be patient with me.
And yes, I am still continuing my campaign to promote adding a 'mass select' option to Out of the Park 10.
