fictional and historical players

I was wondering is both Historical and fictional players come loaded in the game ??? or do we have to find a way to load historical players into the game. I have never dealt with doing that. I have always wondered how i would do with historical players. Also if Historical players is part of this game then how far back do they go and how recent of players in the majors and minors.???? thanks for any info on this

You can load any historical player into the game by using the Lahman Database or a modder's database (Arod/Garlon, Gambo, etc.).

Lahman's database can be downloaded at: http://www.baseball1.com/
