Respect the Gload!

OK, I set up a historical sim last night, importing from Lahman 5.3, with 3 year recalc. The difference in this sim was the use of sabermetric lineups vs traditional ones.

When I got up this morning, I saw it was in Sept 2003, and I noticed immediately that Barry Bonds was chasing .400 and a Triple Crown.

Then, it hit me. A news story flashed by with Gload in the headlines.

It takes too much time to tweak the award names, the league names, and the minor league affiliates names during testing. I'm more interested in the output vs the setup.

So, Gload transcends through different iterations of OOTP?

How amazingly realistic.

He tore his thigh twice, his ratings plummeted, and he quit the game of baseball after his ratings imploded.

So you are saying the Gload Code lives on but it has merged with the Garciaparra code?

The Gload code? The Garciaparra code? Can someone kindly enlighten me?

The game is coded that Ross Gload is always good, Nomar Garciaparra always gets hurt, and the Cubs can't win a World Series.

Then there is the comeback code, too.

With all these new features, I'm glad to see the "Gload Code" remains intact.

Thanks, Raidergoo. Garciaparra always getting hurt and the Cubs not winning a WS makes sense and is true to form, but why Ross Gload of all people? Is he a relative of Markus?

He tore his thigh twice, his ratings plummeted, and he quit the game of baseball after his ratings imploded.
But if he didn't quit the game, how many heads would have exploded when they watched him play even better? He saved the world!

This was obviously done to avoid being the first player to ever win Comeback Player of the Year, MVP, and the Cy Young in one season.

The Gload cares about history.

Because Gload is the definition of clutch. Enough said right there.
