Will 2007 allow you to retroactively put someone on the 15-day DL? I think in real life you're allowed 10 days to do so.

I believe the official rule is you can back date a player to whatever the first day he didn't play is. If a guy gets hurt in a game April 16, and its the 28, you can back date him to the 4/17, the first day he didn't play.

The ten day rule is for Spring Training. You can back date a guy ten days when you pair down the rosters for opening day.

It would be nice to do this, at some time in the future. I would imagine there are many higher priorities.

I would expect to it might a challenge to get the AI to think that way too.

In any case, I'd like to see the older forms of the DL implemented as options, since being restricted in the number of played that could be carried on the DL it makes for a much more interesting managerial challenge.
