Yeah... the 23rd will be a busy day.... I'll have ootp2007 to play and TMNT to go see since it starts on the 23rd too. My two greatest passions in life: baseball and giant turtles with martial arts skills.

I've taken March 26th off, so I'll have the weekend and the Monday..I couldn't get the release day off....did I read somewhere that all pre-orders may get access to the download some time before it is readily available?...maybe the Thursday?..be better for me, as I won't be able to download until late on the Friday evening.

I am hoping they release early early in the morning so I have time to download it and get it activated before I leave for work at 6:30 AM so I can play it while at work on my laptop.

I might have to work on 23rd. I go to work 6:30am to 2:30pm central time. I'm sure ootp2007 release around noon friday anyway.

Which is why it would really be nice to have a torrent of the release this year to relieve the stress on the main server. This has been the third time I've mentioned it here and no one has said whether there will be one or not.

Just my personal opinion, but I think torrents still have the overtone of piracy - even if used legimately.I would be surprised to see SI, or many other developers using torrent to distribute software.

I could be wrong, wouldn't be the first time.

I am pretty sure 2006 was seeded on BitTorrent. There were multiple alternate servers last time, I am sure this will be done again. I am sure whatever capacity gets offered will get blitzed.

In this case it doesn't matter how one gets the game. One needs the correct license number in order to activate it.

Exactly. And FWIW, lots of well respected freeware is distributed via torrent to help keep server bandwidth down. OpenOffice and nearly every free distro of Linux jump to mind as fitting into this category. Bigger companies don't need to do such things because they should have the resources to serve everyone who wants to download files from their servers. However, I found SI's servers and mirrors to be incredibly slow for a number of days after release last year. Hence the request for a torrent.
