Who was that - Pick a historical league, any year you want. Import it and then release all the players to free agent to have a draft. Then you go enter the setup and you have the program RENAME ALL PLAYERS. So, now you have real pro players, but you lost their names. Now you can go tell it to remove all of the player's history and then you can't tell who is who. Well, there still is a way, as the new game has a REAL LIFE STATS for real players that shows their real stats. Just hold back looking until the player retires and then you can solve the mystery.
I like.

I think this has been my favorite blog. I love the fact that OOTP lets you think "outside the box" and have a really unique game.

Fake Historical - Start a historical league in 1901
Isn't Fake Historical an oxymoron? I like the idea though.

I quite enjoyed it too. You'd think after a few years you'd know of all the ways you could play the game, but there were a few there that I had never thought of. The division 3 or expansion division scenario was particularly interesting. Imagine if the Dodgers and Giants had stayed in NY and instead a whole other division was started on the west coast with nobodies and it took years for them to get on par with the rest of the league, but because they were in the same division there was still a great amount of interest in the winner of the division. I wonder what other ways there are out there.

Interactive Online League Directory - find or advertise a league today! (now OOTP9 compatible, thanks for the space jazzrack!)
Canadian Baseball League - a recent OOTP9 convert, but running steadily since April 2002
SGCBL - a Lord of the Rings themed league with a very friendly membership and a commish constantly looking to improve the smallest of things

I like to imagine that I am the commissioner of baseball taking over after Bud Selig and that my mandate is to make baseball an international sport like soccer. I expand MLB leagues into Carribbean and Asian Nations. Never yet expanded into Europe but maybe I will this year.
