Can I uninstall 2006?

I know from experience that removing an OOTP installation leaves all player modified folders intact, such as stadiums and leagues. Can I go ahead and uninstall 2006 in anticipation for 2007?

Shouldn't be any problems with this.

As always, it never hurts to back stuff up...
