FaceGen Suggestion

I have noticed that your facegen options for picture creation are limited to either Major Leagues; All League; or none.

I was wondering if it could be possible to leave the facegen picture creation option to be made at an individual league level, as part of the individual, not global league setup.

This would be great for those of use who may want ML, and AAA pictures, but not AA and A.

Of course, I suggested last year that the box scores and game logs be handled the same way, but that hasn't been done so it may not be very easy.

Maybe checkboxes with the various levels listed, sort of like "Click the box next to each league level you would like to generate faces for?

Probably a lot more complicated than it sounds, of course.

You could do the ML only and then do the AAA by picking the team and then generating pictures for the AAA players. The best way to handle pictures in my opinion is to have only the Major League and then do it individually on the players who may enter the majors. I would suggest that you only generate pictures upon a players enterance into the Major Leagues. That way you will not be using memory on players who never make it to the Majors.

Aha! But what if you are managing a minor league team and only want pics of players entering that league??? You wouldn't want to waste memory on having to create pics for every league

IMO, the best option for solo play is just to use the On Demand generation. Speeds are much faster.

Hear, here!

Why spend an hour generating all the pictures, when you'll probably never see 3/4 of them? Let the game generate the ones you look at, as you need them.

By On Deamnd does it mean it generates a players pic when you open the player or when you ask it to generate?

Whenever you open a player profile or a screen that requires a player's picture to be there, it will create one if one does not exist automatically.

The reason you don't want to use the on demand feature is that it delays loading pages in the game. And I found that very annoying. So I will create the pictures and store them on my hard drive because I have the space.

That is true, though their isn't much to the delays (a couple seconds maybe).

Wow, when was this brought up before? I never realized this was an option. Sounds fantastic!!! especially for my ridiculously massive universe.

Does the FaceGen On-Demand update for existing players as well? For instance: if a player already has a face, but has been traded and/or his morale has changed, will a new picture be generated for the player automatically or will it have to be a manual change?

Another question is - for online leagues, will owners be able to use the on demand feature to create player pictures that are the same as the commissioner's? Or will they have to download all of the pics?

Yes, you can set it to update automatically
