Database vs. Roster set

What's the major differences in using a Database (like Gambo's) as oppossed to a Roster Set (like Cubby's)?

Generally, a database is used for "historical" sims (up to and included the last completed year).

A "roster set" is usually used by people who want to have accurate "current year" rosters.

For example, when 2007 comes out, the historical databases will include data THROUGH 2006, while the roster sets will try to have 100% accurate 2007 roster data.

Roster sets also usually have real minor leaguers, while databases are usually played with either reserve rosters or incomplete minors with "ghost players."
