Adding teams to a feeder league

I don't want to have an official "expansion" draft or anything, but I was wondering if you can add teams to a feeder league?

For example, say I have 6 teams in my feeder league and I want to increase that to 8. What I'd like to do is create 2 teams and then somehow populate their rosters (totally forget if there was a way to do that). Or, if I create the 2 teams before the computer generates new players to populate the league, I want it to take into consideration the two new teams.

Is this possible? I'd like to have expansion in my fictional league at the "Pro" level but I would think you'd have to have some mechanism to expand the feeder leagues to keep up.

No problem... add them in the league structure editor and then fill their roster with fictional players.

You could also add a historical team, which would result in all players of that team older than X being dunped into the draft pool. What a cool idea!!

Got it, thanks. So if you fill the team with fictional players, the app will know to look at the age ranges of that feeder league?

If we add a historical team to a feeder league how does it adjust their ages?

Like if my feeder league is in the year 1990 and I import a historical team from 1998 will it cut 8 years off everyone's age?

Or is it not possible to import a 1998 team into a 1990 league?

In the past, it would adjust birthdates to make the guys the same age they would have been. So if a guy was born in 1968 and you're importing his 1998 season into a 1990 league, his birthdate would be adjusted to 1960. Not sure if this is still the case or how 2007 does things along these lines.

Well I guess that makes sense so that you could import historical teams into more modern leagues and the guys won't all be 67 years old.

But it does kind of foil my plans for feeder leagues with real players.

(There has to be a way to do this)

You could go and edit the database if you want. That's what I'd probably do, depending on your exact plan.
