Round 1, Round 2, Round 3...

An absurdly small complaint: the automatic adjustment in OOTP07 of playoff rounds is awesome, but there's a little hitch. If you have a World Series (only) from 1901-68 then switch to divisional play in 1969, it refers to the first round of playoffs (the LCS) as "World Series" and the second round (the actual WS) as "Round 2" (and then in 1994 the DS, LCS and WS are called "World Series", "Round 2" and "Round 3") so you have to stop the game and fix it manually.

Thoughts?

I was thinking maybe we should have a sticky for historical leagues and what the user would have to do manually-- as a guideline. Of course backing up as much as possible is recommend.

The series names are trademarks of MLB, so they can't be included in the game. I agree that the Round 1 name in 1901 should update to Round 2 when the playoffs expand, but you'd still have to stop and edit the Round 1 name to LCS. Of course, if the names could be added to a config file from which they're automatically imported...

Trademarks aside, the playoff round names should expand logically. Round 1 should move to Round 2, and so on. And the label "World Series" or whatever should move as well, so that when expansion comes and true playoffs occur, there's a Round 1 followed by the "World Series" or whatever the user has named the championship round.

But yes, once the expansion happens, the user should edit the names of the playoff rounds so that they are not labelled generically.

Just my two cents..
