Please please tell me the ugly default player photo is gone. Between it and the difficulty I had in getting rid of it, I would almost not buy 2007 if it is still there.

Yeah, with facegen being implemented, the default is obsolete.

But you really would consider not buying this game because of that photo?

I managed to get a photo of me as the default. It was then I almost got rid of the game.

Pardon my rant. I can't wait to get rid of 2006 (which was in my mind an utter disappointment) and I hope that 2007 is as good as reported. I am a huge Ootp fan and was excited about the many possibilities that Ootp 2006 presented, but couldn't get past the lack of user-friendliness as well as the odd AI quirks.

In some ways I really miss OOTP 6.5 even though it couldn't handle multiple leagues.

The default photo shows up on leaderboards when there is a tie for first. The photo, if you will recall, has TIE in red letters across it.

I was unaware of this. From what I had been reading, I thought it was gone. Oh well. It still seems a rarity to see it

The default player photo is not gone. It will be there any time you play a game without fictional faces or your own custom images.

I’m happy to say that this 2007 version has finally closed the 6.5/xx chapter for me forever. In my opinion this version is truly that good. I found myself doing mostly tinkering with ’06, but I’m actually playing ’07. But, of course, you’ll have to form your own opinion.

FWIW, the Customization Guide from last year had instructions on how you could replace the default guy, and the tie guy.

Those instructions will be in this year's Game Guide, too.

how hard would it be for the default photo to be replaced BEFORE they release 2007? i know, I know... face gen makes it obsolete and it is easy to replace, but taking care of little things like that is why OOTP has such a loyal following.

Marcus has done a great job of responding to community requests, big and small... how about this one?? Consider this the beginning of my "REMOVE THE UGLY DEFAULT PHOTO" campaign!
