What's left?

After all the hype, screenies, blogs, .... has anything been left out to preserver the "Oh look what I found" feeling on March 23rd?

I'm sure there will be some things that are like that, Marcus loves throwing little things like that in, I remember the stop watch in the second or third patch of 2006.

I'm hoping the game will be able to pour me a hot cup of coffee. It's a feature I've been wishing for since OOTP5.

Really, the only sensible thing they could do now is release the game tomorrow.

why wait so long, now seems like a perfect time. Plus their marketing campain was if you would pre-order you would get it before ANYONE else. (pretty sure the ANYONE was in all caps). Well so far I've pre-ordered and 100 lucky people, and the bata-team, plus Marcus and everyone else at SI all have had the game, and I've yet to get a copy .

But really all I want to do is play.

So I'll try harder to be patient and hopefully the board will be patient with me.
And yes, I am still continuing my campaign to promote adding a 'mass select' option to Out of the Park 10.

March 23rd and beyond will include everything from confetti and balloons to bullet-proof vests. To say the least, it'll be interesting.

You can read and see all you want about a game that has yet to be released, but there will always be that "oh, wow" feeling for me when I play it for the first time. No amount of reading or looking can take the place of actually interacting with a new toy.

Clearly, you haven't seen the women they're trying to squeeze.

Agreed, I've been testing the game from the beginning and I seem to be discovering new things everyday. I think there will be surprises left for everyone.

There's no way we could show everything before release day.

I think they should delay the release a month just to really build up a full-fledged feeding frenzy.

Err, I had the preview and if they ever wanted to build up more of a frenzy, they should let everyone preview it, then take it away. I am going more out of my mind NOW that I have actually played it and messed with the features I like to mess with, and now its all gone again, back to 2006.

The surprises that will come will be in seeing how we each relate to the new features, not necessarily in the features themselves (though Markus may have a trick or two thrown in at the end). It will be in finding that some pet idea each of us has will work in a certain way, or that a particular feature has an unintended but useful (or annoying, but let's hope not) consequence. It's one thing to read about it all, another to actually play around with it.

I think it's sort of analagous to seeing pictures and film clips of Beyonce (or any actress X that floats your boat)- and then the contrast in depth of that experience with actually having a date with her...Totally different "immersion factor" (as I finally come full circle and relate this to OOTP 2007).....And did I just use "Beyonce" and "OOTP" in the same topic?- Why yes- yes I did....
