I pre-ordered, yet no discount?

A friend told me about the game and said there is a discount for preordering, yet I was just charge full price, just wondering what's up?

Unless maybe they put back money in your account or something, I don't know, just was curious.

The pre-order discount ended a while ago. I believe there was a limited time for this and it required a special discount code. Probably not the news you want, but I have very little doubt you will think the game isn't worth full price once you play it. This is the most amazing OOTP game yet!

Oh, well that is kinda disheartening, then there was no real benefit of me pre-ordering for me...

Is there a way to cancel a pre-order as I wouldn't have pre-ordered with this knowledge, would have rather waited and tried the demo and then purchased if I liked.

I just don't know if this is my style of game or not but I figured the discount would make it worth it to go ahead.

I guess I'll just accept it, and maybe if I don't like it I can get a refund.

I guess I'll see, I did join an online league so I hope the game will stick with me and I'll learn it.

Just please tell me it comes with a manual to help understand all the stats.

Go to the elicense webpage and under support, send them an email. I think all they need to know is the reason why and they will send your email to the "refunds" department.

I guess I will stick with it, I do like SI for their Football Manager game, I'm just not the biggest fan of baseball because all the stats are so confusing for me, *although being American, learning Soccer wasn't easy either* maybe if I play the game and learn it and have fun in the online league I'll learn more and maybe be able to appreciate the game of baseball better, as which happened with Football Manager and Soccer.

Of course having your team be the Pirates who haven't done anything for a long time is disheartening but I just had an idea that maybe I could do well in the online league and win in the future.

Thanks for the help though, I guess I kinda just created wasted space on the forum.

Sorry.

I guess I'll have to beat up my friend for not mentioning that the discount ended :P

Well, you do still get one benefit to pre-ordering. You will receive a special download link before the game is release to the public, I believe 1 day before That is definitely at least a little bonus. Welcome to the boards!

I'm afraid, we offer no refunds unless a game is faulty and we are not able to work with you to resolve.

Ther best way to get discounts is to signup to our newsletter (links for this are on www.ootpbaseball.net)

Considering the product is not out yet, I'm sure he could get a refund if he really wanted to.

Maybe I'm wrong.. he's keeping it anyway.

I WAS SIGNED UP FOR THE NEWSLETTER!

Obviously only the "chosen" actually get a discount...for I have been a loyal customer for years and was denied my chance to pre-order at a discount.

But then again, as it has been said many times in this "family", it was all MY fault that I did not get a discount.

Sorry if I sound bitter...I'm not...I am so mad that I cannot see straight!!!!!

Did you change your email? I know a couple people did since when they originally signed up and got skipped. Not assigning blame BTW, just curious.

You could have checked the message board. This was discussed quite openly in the forum and those that didn't get an email about it were able to let it be known early enough for it not to be a problem.

No changes

Nothing changed as far as my email address or anything else. I simply did not receive the offer of a discount, and apparently, because I did not have the time to come to the site of this forum for a few months, it was my fault that I did not know about it.

You would think I am asking for a free copy of OOPT. All I want is the same opportunity others had to use a 20% discount to pre-order, nothing more and nothing less. Am I wrong to think this is the right thing to do?

Obviously it is not within the framework of SI or OOTP Developments to do the right thing for a long-time customer.

Again, I am just simply angry beyond words...for customer service is apparently a foreign language here.

I've had the same email address for years, yet never received a discount offer either.

Whatever.

I never pinned blame on you, just saying that a trip to the forums every so often could have saved you all this "anger". That being said, I do remember that there were quite a few people that didn't get the emails in the first mass mailing, so much so that it necessitated another email to be sent. Not that I would advocate giving in to every possible disgruntled person, but I certainly would think that SI should take a little more responsibility for some of the people that should have gotten the discount emails that didn't (for whatever reason), as I know there were some out there.

Agreed

I am not asking for the world, just to be treated fairly.

I am in the advertising business...and every day we give discounts and credits to customers whether they deserve them or not, because it is good business to do so.

If any one customer is not treated fairly, then it is not fair to all customers. That is the way I do business, and the way I expect to be treated. I guess I am just too idealistic.

Any way, I am sorry to vent like this, it is just very discouraging that I have been on this train for so many years and somehow get kicked off at this station for something that is not, excuse me, is (though I fail to see how) my fault.
