Question about recalc

I really think this feature will turn out great for historical simmers, but I was wondering if after a player changes positions do they retain the ability to still play the previous position. Example, when Biggio goes from C to 2B, will he be able to go and still have ratings for C in case the new starting C can't catch for some reason?

I didnt specificallly check this from basic observations the recalculate feature actually uses 3 (or 1 or 5 depending on settings)to determine the ratings so the player will actually be able to play both until he fully changes positional ratings.

Gambo, a reply Marcus made to one of my questions made it sound as though recalc was based on the current and immediately previous years (eg. uses 1940-2 to recalc 1942, rather than 1941-3). Is it your understanding that that is correct?

But really all I want to do is play.

So I'll try harder to be patient and hopefully the board will be patient with me.
And yes, I am still continuing my campaign to promote adding a 'mass select' option to Out of the Park 10.

the way i understand it, '42 uses '41-'43.

this makes sense when you put it in context of making it a smooth transition between different run scoring environments.
