Need your help! Upto 5 players per reply

I am going to create a league by importing the best of the best of MLB by their best season, a league that will pit Clemens against Mays, Ruth against Ryan (Nolan, not B.J.

), Bonds against Cy Young! I need you to list 5 of your favorite all time players (have to be all-stars) with their career year.

i.e.

Roger Clemens - 1986
Ted Williams - 1941
Alex Rodriguez - 2001

Lets go with 1908 when as a 34 year old he was 105% better than league average for all NL hitters with cal ripken quality defense

Ernie Lombardi -
1938 or 1942

Eddie Collins -
1914
.344/.452/.452 season with Eddie Collins quality defense at second base

Mule Suttles -
1926 where he hit .426 and had a 1.000 SLG%
Or
1930 where he had 26 HR and a .837 SLG with a HR every 10.1 AB
Legend has it that when he played in Havana, Cuba he hit a ball 600 feet
In 1929 when the team played a minor league team in Memphis he hit three homeruns...in a single inning
