A heads up on League Expansion

While OOTP2007 is a fantastic game some aspects are discovered through trial and error. Most everything will be covered in the manual so please don't worry, but as you tool around with the game you're going to make discoveries on your own. Here is one i'd like to share with you on creating a nice report for your draft, and creating a personal shortlist as well.

Make sure before you get to expansion day, or even set up your league for expansion for that matter; it's imparative you do this before Jan 1st of said year. Go to OOTP Preferences and set your lists for scroll bars. Go back into the game and use the expansion wizard to set up for your league expansion. Sim up to expansion draft day and select the "Continue draft" tab (tab 3 of the 4)at the top of the page. You should see a scroll bar on the right hand side of the screen now. Click on that little report button on the bottom right, and select "Open Report". Don't forget to customize your views to your liking to see those ratings

Now that is for total reports on the players. If you want short lists only click continue draft and right click on any player and select short list. On your manager tab select player search and short list. There are your short listed players.

This will all make sense when you receive your copy of the game. It's a very easy process, and will come in handy for draft/expansion drafts. I highly recommend copy/pasting this for future use. Once you do it once however it'll stick with you as the game is easy to navigate.

Enjoy ! Meanwhile i'll bug Steve to get this in the manual

Thanks for that, Tycobbler, I'm sure it will prove to be handy advice in the not too distant future...

Conversion works just fine, and yes you can still use the expansion wizard for your converted league.

If one chooses to do expansion (and moves) manually, is there a choice of when to do it (either before Jan 1 or after or some other date)?
