Pre Release of the Manual...

Any word of the pre-release date of the manual, now that the game is 3 day away (at least for us pre-order customers). With all the features and stuff added for this year's version, having a few days to play with the manual before the game comes out would help out a lot

Well, here's the thing. You all know it's a big manual, right? Well, you know all of those little posts Markus scatters around saying "I fixed this" or "I just added that"? Well, each one of those means another change to the manual. So, until code is frozen, it's virtually impossible to finish the manual.

So, that means there's a mad rush to finish manual AFTER code is frozen, because I have to make sure all of the gajillion screen shots are accurate, and all of the features he's added or tweaked are actually in there.

Maybe I'm just too detail-oriented for my own good.

(Plus, I need another six weeks to figure out player creation modifiers. :P)

Heh.

Okay. You guys might get the manual early. The code won't be frozen until a few hours before release. So, if Steve hurries, you could get the manual a couple of hours before the game is released.

Not likely, fubes.

SI could do like other companies, and stop coding, and just compile the list of bugs and say "we'll get to that in the next version" and then sell the rights to the game to a monolith which then summarily kills it....

Sorry..the bad man got out again...
