Cool, so 700-team, 40 league games are ripe for the word go on download then

Seriously, well done all of you. Hopefully I'll get some work done before the end of March now, but probably not...

Thanks to Markus, Andreas, and Marc for letting me be a part of it!

Meanwhile, as one of the people who will be manning Tech Support over the next few weeks, I just want to point out that no game of this complexity, and with this many options, will go bug-free.

While we've all found 2007 to be much more stable than 2006, I'm sure you guys will manage to find some stuff. You all know that Markus has a track record of releasing a first patch promptly.

All I ask is a little bit of patience with Tech Support. Post your issues in the new Tech Support forum, one issue per thread, pretty please! Read the Tech Support readme before posting, and get us the information we need to get your issues fixed! To quote Tom Cruise, "Help me help you!"

Finally, this isn't an "official stance," but personally I strongly recommend playing around with OOTPB 2007 for a while, just kicking the tires, before embarking on that 720-team, 50-league game with custom logos for each team.

Just a thought.

Thanks all!

Steve

And, in my desire for fairness for all, I made Markus remove the Ross Gload code too.

The fact that you had him remove the code, or that the code ever existed in the first place?

Thanks for all the hard work Markus and everyone else involved. By reading all of the replies to this thread, I can tell your work is going to make for many happy baseball loving people. Take a little vacation after the release, rest, and relax.

Until I purcased my MacBook Pro last year I was a total PureSim guy. But I've been really impressed by the commitment of the OOTPB developers and the whole community that supports OOTPB. Looking forward to getting the Mac version tomorrow.

I think this is really, really good advice.

I plan to start a new fictional "test" league and play around with it for a couple weeks before finally moving my current '06 league into '07. Not that there will be any pesky little bugs in the initial release or anything....
