Trade Deadline

I just got offered a trade on september 29, 2007...after the real deadline of july 31, and the waiver deadline of aug 31. Is there an option to turn on the trade deadline, or is this not in the game?

So youre saying there is an option to turn on the trade deadline, but it must be done before the trade deadline? Where can i find this option.

Thanks

For what it's worth, I don't think August 31 is the waiver deadline. It's the deadline for anyone who's going to be on your postseason roster, but I think trades can still happen after that, although they usually don't.

I've been wrong before, though.

I'm pretty sure that is correct unless it changed in the last CBA.

that is correct. The Yanks aquired a reliever in September i n 2005 knowing full well that he would not be available in October.

IRL, you can still trade after the trade deadline, but the players have to go through waivers, allowing any of the players to be snatched by other teams. That is why it happens so rarely.
