June is a definite Jeff, but there will be at least 2 MLB only releases in the meantime. looking like Sunday and once Baseball America releases the 2007 OD rosters. But the June release is my baby. It will be the FINAL and MOST complete set

It was imported from Lahman 5.4
SO it's sitting at 2006 OD rosters.
Every minor league player has been re rated on his 2006 stats.
those ratings were then imported into the game. When I got the file, it was still with the rosters at 2006 OD status. THat's why there's no immediate release. I am just about done with the NL right now. then I will have to do the AL. Plus I am awaiting ratings for Dice K and other new foreign born players to plug them in. I need to set team colors as well for all minor league teams. Then I would prefer to take a little bit extra time to input ratings and personal data for the 2006 draftees

Why not have it 100% to start with. Erich has put a lot of time into the roster. A few more tweaks and changes won't hurt anyone.

Please Please Please release them today? At least as an initial set. You can always release any changes on Sunday right? Tonight's my only free night from family plans, so I was hoping to put in a few OOTP hours.

If you release them today that will be fine. I will probably just edit the Royals as I see fit and start a franchise. Then, once OD rosters are out, I will probably restart.

Are you going tbe including up to date Players,Pitchers,Front Office and Personal meaning Staff Photo's?

If it's released today (which it's not gonna be) there'd be alot of things not really 100% up to date

OK, the vote is overwhelmingly in favor of a much more complete Beta file.

So here's the schedule...

I will continue to do alot of little cleanup things to the file and then release a beta on Sunday

Then I have also volunteered to do contracts and service times for Erich. I am going to try my very best to possibly have that done by Thursday, So Online Commish's I would suggest that being the absolute earliest file you use. That way there won't be the normal problems with the Rule 5 being F'ed up.

Then as soon as Baseball America puts out their 2007 full organizational OD rosters there will be the first official Release. Then after that It goes back to the June 1 target that I mentioned earlier today for a full package with feeder leagues with real draftees, US Indy leagues and some foreign leagues.

There are some things that any willing person could contribute too if you have the desire. Let me know if you are that kind of person

Can you quickly explain what the differences will be btw the OD roster and the 6/1 release, just so I know if its worth waiting.

the OD set will be MLB and Minors only

6/1 will include trhe 6-7 US indy leagues the key foreign leagues as well as some nice additions to player history. There never has been a set yet to take full advantage of the player histories. and now we can import in previous stats like college and minor league.

Is there any way you could give an idea of how many players are in this set? For example, 125 players per organization is enough to fill the majors, plus the 4 full-season minor leagues. Surely you don't have that many players in each organization, because the ratings would take too long, right?

Just trying to get an idea of how deep we might be able to set up our leagues.

Also, you mentioned help...What kind of help could one provide, if one were so inclined?

every player that was on a 2006 Opening Day roster is currently in the game. Erich has been working on these ratings for months now.

As far as help, once all the players are in the game as of OD 2007, there will be a need for people to update stats and player histories. So it's gonna be working with text files and spreadsheets.
