I don't know if you have finalized the rosters or not yet, but...this just in.

Angel Berroa sent to AAA as Tony Pena Jr. (whom was aquired in a trade from the Braves) will be the royals opening day starting shortstop.

for the first release which is still on track for tonight, the AI will decide the rosters... about a week after OD once Baseball America has full OD rosters for all teams down to LOW A, then we will adjust them accordingly

AI will decide rosters? Does that mean players will not be on correct teams?

No, it means that if the computer thinks your top prospect isn't ready for the majors, he will be in AAA ball. Even though, in real life, he might be in the majors starting.

Once opening day rosters come out, they will be pretty accurate.

That's one to take up with Erich...
But in at least one Sim i did, he was the AL's 2nd best rookie behind Dice K

I hate those foreign players that come in at age 27ish and try to win the rookie of the year. It should be restricted to 25 and younger

Either way though, your simulation seems accurate.

But the AI teams is still going to make changes no matter how accurate they are when opening day roster comes out.

I dunno, maybe the opening day rosters will have ratings slightly adjusted so that the AI keeps players where they need to be?

File will be initially sent out after we get the OD rosters with AI moves turned off... So once you pick your team or teams, then you will have to turn AI moves back on

i'm chomping at the bit for these rosters so i just wanted to thank you in advance for them. My brother and I are starting our season tonight once they come out. Any target time on the release so i can plan my evening? if not it's cool i just wanted to chime in and thank you and erich for all the work.

Had i worked straight through, it would have been around 7ish... but i am taking a break to do some work on my own project too. So I'd say 9 or 10 central time

I would recommend on the 2nd release when he fix the contracts and service time on players.
