Real World Rosters:: Read Inside....

Ok Folks here's where we are at, Erich Ingram, Rolen17 as some of you may know him, has sent me his first work for 2007. He's having some things going on today that has kept him from finishing the last couple steps

1) Transactions
2) a few minor things like team Colors.

SO I am going to be finishing those up today and releasing for him if he's still not around.

But I wanna know if you guys would rather wait a day or 2 while I cleaned up a few other things that are not 100% yet?
The main thing the file is currently missing is the 2006 draftees. Because this is basically his 2006 set, torn apart and completely rerated. But as of this post there aren't more than a couple 2006 draftees. I can promise the set will still be released by the end of the weekend if the masses prefer to wait for the draftees...

So Please weigh in with your opinions.

My vote would be to release them now. Anyone who wants the update can get it when you or he finishes.

As long as you are going to finish them regardless, It doesn't matter to me. I'm patient enough to wait a day or two.

Sorry Exodor, I wont be adding a handful of players, it's all or none.

But Erich has all the players rated already in a spreadsheet. I will just need to get it from him and delete anyone not a 2006 draftee and import if I wait for them. SO it would be an absolute definite for a release on Sunday

If you release the set as it stands now couldn't you also re-release it on Sunday with the 2006 draftees included?

Today is fine,

I personally will wait for the update....but ALOT of people are chomping at the bit to get real players etc.

My fictional league will keep me busy this weekend.

No because once there's something out there to get people started with, We'd probably just push to get more things included once we have accurate OD rosters

If you have a file, you may as well throw us a bone. Call it a beta or something. I don't understand why whether you release a version now has anything to do with what will be added later.

SWEET ACTION! I'm so impressed that a roster set is coming out already. Congrats and thank you! I don't want to waste your time, but I'm curious what's included in this roster set. Did you rate personality, morale, and popularity?

Because there's going to be one beta...

It's either going to be today or Sunday.
If it's sunday you will have pretty much every player that will be in the game for 2007. If the majority wants it today, then it will be without 2006 draftees. I'm not trying to be an ass here. but there are alot of things that are planned for the final release of this roster. You will most likely get it in 3 major releases.
1) a beta, either today or tomorrow
2) a Much more complete OD set
and finally
3) a Set that will blow away anything else done before on or around June 1

Erich has worked hard on this, and I am giving up my entire day today to update every transaction since OD 2006

Not Yet.. First release will be more basic. By OD, there will be a better more complete set, and finally sometime around June 1, there will be a set with all minor league stats included in the player history and fully updated player histories that tell you when the player was drafted, what if any transactions they've been involved in, and where possible, their MLB "Firsts" along with full personality, morale and pop figured in. Along with accurate Feeder leagues so you will have real players to draft. Along with Indy leagues and some foreign leagues

I'd be willing to wait until Sunday. Heck, I would wait till Opening Day roster set is out. I will be in SD from March 29th through April 5th/6th. So I would get home Opening Day weekend pretty much. So hopefully the Opening Day set would be ready and released by then.

I appreciate all the work you guys are doing. We all owe you a ton.

So I will just

and wait for the release.

If there is going to be one on opening day, then I would rather have this one today so I can have the weekend to take a look at it. I wouldn't start anything permanent until the opening day set comes out anyway.

Agree with andymac, with the OD release I can set our league, but with a release today i can at least look over ratings, financials and plan better.
